Tiptoe...through the Daffodils!

I had the most adorable photoshoot on Saturday! Everything came together just brilliantly - a lovely family, a beautiful little girl, a stunning location and the weather was just right - A perfect spring day for a perfect photoshoot! An extra special thanks goes to the landowner for allowing me to use such a stunning location!

....A Little Boy with a Spring in His Step!!

What a brilliant outdoor shoot I had on Saturday!! Three lovely ladies (a mum and her two daughters) and Calvin - a very cheeky chappy who kept me on my toes throughout the entire shoot! What a little superstar....and oh, soooo cute!!!

Everything's Rosie!

I love a good pet portrait!! Especially when that pet is a lovely, well behaved dog such as Rosie! She was perfect and made for a seamless shoot!! She definitely brought the sunshine with her!

Happy Birthday Lewes!

Today was my little boy's first birthday!! We didn't do a cake smash - instead I took him out to the woods for a little adventure in the beautiful snowdrops!  He was full of soil by the end of the shoot - but that didn't matter, it was all good fun!

Let's Celebrate!

This weekend gorgeous Katie Rose helped me celebrate as my studio turned one!  It was also this very special little girl's first birthday too - so we had a great time tucking into a wonderful cake made by the fabulous Zoe Taylor!

Mum's The Word....

I just love capturing those tender moments between parent and child; they're so special and deserve to be preserved for a lifetime!  This shoot was wonderful - full of love and cute wee smiles! Love my job!

Kids being kids!

I know I say it again and again, but I do really love to welcome back past clients and their children! It is so lovely to see how they are growing into little characters! The three children I had at the Vanilla Moon studio this weekend were certainly no exception! Full of cheeky smiles, mischief and above all, lots of fun!

Rosetta Mini Sessions!

This year's mini sessions were held at Rosetta Nursery, Peebles - and what a success they were! It was lovely to see some new faces as well as welcome back clients from previous years.  It's always nice to see how their children are growing up!!

Together we raised £360 for the nursery's fund - a wonderful achievement which wouldn't have been possible without such loyal clients! So, a huge thank you to all that came along and a huge thank you also to Rosetta Nursery for letting me set up my studio!

Here's a small selection of some of the images from this year's sessions! Enjoy!!

There will be another mini session for Mother's Day next year! Do watch this space!

Family Bonds..

This is the second of my lovely family portrait sessions in Eddleston this week! We had a fantastic opportunity to do some outdoor shots too! Perfect for little girls to feel free and be themselves with their favourite cuddly companion!! What an utterly gorgeous family they were to photograph! Thank you so much for making the long journey down from Falkirk to see me!

I Don't Care What the Weatherman Says!

I love a good outdoor shoot - and it is true that they are few and far between this time of year! That didn't stop us this weekend however!  A crisp and frosty morning made for a great setting for this wonderful family!!  Bobble-hats, snuggly warm coats and cheeky toddler smiles completed a perfect shoot!

A Fleeting Moment..

Newborn shoots are among my favourite to do. It's a real privilege to share in that moment when everything is brand new.  The overwhelming feelings and emotions between parent, baby and sibling.  It brings it all flooding back to when my babies were brand new too.  So I know how important it is to capture it.

I love to take my time and set up shots, making sure everything perfect so that mum and dad have some beautiful images to look back upon for years to come.  Memories to cherish. Sometimes, though, it is that split second moment that you have to capture before it is gone forever.  Like the unmistakable connection between sisters that presents itself.  That's where the skill of a photographer comes into its own.  This wonderful little shoot had many moments - but two in particular I think, really sum up the love for a newborn baby and the pride of an older sibling.
