Well, the weather is turning cold...so what better way to spend a weekend than two newborn sessions in a cosy and warm studio!
I was honoured with photographing two baby girls last Saturday - each the same age of five weeks.
I was pleased to welcome back to the studio a totally adorable little baby boy! Dad is into motorbikes, and I was determined to capture a shot that brought father and son together in one shot!
A wonderful day was spent photographing The Flying Scotsman yesterday - here are two of my favourites and a few in between! My children waving as it passes south of Stow and over the mighty Forth Rail Bridge. Both shots completely worth the wait, it was magical and I must confess, I shed a tear or two. It was a magnificent sight and I am proud that I have been able to share it with my children!

What a lot of fun it was to welcome little Dexter back to the studio! This time to celebrate his first Birthday!! I have photographed Dexter three times now, and he never fails to put a smile on my face!! What a cheeky little man he is! Hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!

I had the most adorable photoshoot on Saturday! Everything came together just brilliantly - a lovely family, a beautiful little girl, a stunning location and the weather was just right - A perfect spring day for a perfect photoshoot! An extra special thanks goes to the landowner for allowing me to use such a stunning location!

Today was my little boy's first birthday!! We didn't do a cake smash - instead I took him out to the woods for a little adventure in the beautiful snowdrops! He was full of soil by the end of the shoot - but that didn't matter, it was all good fun!
Well....it took three years, but she finally took part in a cake smash :)
It's always a real honour to be asked to cover a family event such as a Christening. This day of celebration was so happy and colourful, despite the grey rainy weather outside! And the two little sisters were just adorable. x

I am so proud to announce a new service that I have been working on for the last few weeks! Before I begin, I would like to thank the wonderful, gorgeous ladies that came forward and offered to help me out; without them, my new project would not have been possible and for that I am enormously grateful and owe them all a great deal of thanks!
This is a dedicated photography session for women that covers many disciplines of portraiture. As a woman myself, I know that sometimes we like to feel that bit special - perhaps because we forget about ourselves as we go about our daily routines, or because we get so involved in our careers...or we start a family and put the needs and wants of others first. As such, I wanted to provide an area of portraiture that would make us feel special, beautiful and the centre of attention, as we deserve to be! The session may only take a precious hour or two, but the results last a lifetime.
As a photographer, I find that the majority of clients that get in touch with me are women - but it is never for themselves, it is either for their children, or their partners, or extended family! I was recently asked to shoot a new collection for Eribe, a Scottish Knitwear design company based in Galashiels. We had a lovely morning, albeit very cold, photographing two gorgeous models in the grounds of Stobo. Their Japanese Gardens made a lovely backdrop and the colours really suited the beautiful knitwear. Thanks to all involved for their cooperation and inspiration!
Yesterday I had the privilege to meet this beautiful little boy after his mum and dad booked a newborn, six months and one year photo-shoot.
He was absolutely adorable, and after a wee bit of chill out time with dad, slept like a little angel!
I can’t wait to meet him again in six months time!!

I have to say this little cake-smash was up there with one of the funniest I've done! Logan LOVED the cupcakes I baked, and certainly made light work of them!! Apologies to his mum for the sugar rush that surely followed!!
