My Story…

Photography has always been a huge passion in my life.

At 14 my dad bought me my first camera - a Pentax ME Super. The urge to capture moments in front of me ignited something in me that has never left.

As soon as I left school I started working for my local paper - beginning my career as a photographer. I have worked as a fully qualified, professional photographer for over three decades now. I’ve worked at many regional and national publications and my career has taken me around the world, witnessing many historic events and meeting many amazing and interesting people; from the downright humble to the world famous.

Since working in busy newsrooms, life’s changed. I’m a proud single mum of two based in the Scottish Borders. Shortly after the birth of my daughter I knew the time was right to finally take the big step and go it alone. A chance for me to pass on my creativity and experience to others by doing what I do best. I now concentrate on the things that I have such dedication for myself; Family life. From newborn babies, family photo-sessions, school photography and weddings - even offering tailor-made courses for those wanting to hone in on their own photography skills!

This adventure through life that we all share deserves documenting.

My business is now proudly in its second decade. My experience and dedication mean if you choose me for your photography, you can rest assured that my love and creativity will shine through in every image.

Life is full of precious memories. 

And capturing them will always be my passion.
