Professor Ian Wilmut and Lady Sara Tie the Knot!

Congratulations to a wonderful couple, who shared their special day with me earlier this month.  Their wedding was beautiful.  Held at Eddleston Church with celebrations continuing at Barony Castle.  They looked so happy together as they posed for a few quick photos on the steps of the church - it's easy to see why I was witness to a few happy tears being shed as they exchanged their vows!

Thank you so much for asking me to cover your special day.  It was truly an honour and a priviledge!

The Peeblesshire wrote a lovely piece - which you can read here.

For the Love of Tennis!

Well, where can I begin with Joe and Rosie's beautiful wedding? From a love that blossomed over a game of tennis to a wonderful 'at home' wedding, Joe and Rosie really do have that special something.  The stolen glances, the tender touches - their love for each other is clear to see and if there was ever any two people made for one another, it's these two.

I loved covering every moment of their wedding. They were so natural in front of the camera and both were up for a giggle, which made for some really unique and quirky photos.

Their wedding was truly unique and personal, with some lovely touches, such as a homemade cake, which has to be one of the most impressive I've seen! Duncan Robertson performed a wonderful Humanist ceremony in front of Rosie and Joe's friends and family, which was followed by a 'selfie' style photo, a confetti tunnel and then a drive around the grounds of their home in a beautiful Bentley.

Rosie wore an amazing Enzoni dress from Border Brides, her hair was by William Pearson (R&R Hair), Beauty Secrets in Hawick did her makeup and her gorgeous bouquet was by Flower Expressions in Selkirk.

Congratulations to you both, once again.  You really are a super couple!

Celebrations!

It was the start of the wedding season for me last week - and what better way to start it than with a surprise wedding!!

May 1st was a special day in so many ways - it was wee Angus' Naming Day! I photographed Angus as a newborn and it was so lovely to see him all grown up with his friends and family around to witness his day.  Not only that, but his mum and dad sprang a big surprise on everyone by tying the knot too!! The celebrations were held at Ochiltrees, in the grounds of Abbotsford House, Melrose.

It was a day full of emotion and I am proud to have been a part of it to capture it for the family.  The day was truly all about each and every one of them.  Perfect attention to details with lego-men button holes, matching shades and fantastic Converse trainers.  There was lots of love, laughter and happiness.  A perfect day - congratulations once again to everyone and thank you so much for having me along!

1, 2, 3......Surprise!

Wow!! What a wedding this was! I am so honoured to have been a part of it!

Two lovely ladies, Estella and Pauline, each celebrating their 60th Birthday - which all of their guests believed they were celebrating too.  Little did they know that Estella and Pauline had planned a surprise wedding! The news was broken shortly after we assembled friends and family for what they thought was a group shot.  I loved watching and photographing everybody's reactions!

The ceremony commenced shortly afterwards and was so lovely and heartfelt.  I must admit I had to wipe away the odd tear  :)

Thank you so much Estella and Pauline for asking me to be a part of your special day.  It was definitely a celebration that will stay with me for a long time!

Craig and Sarah Marry at Ednam House!

Well, what can I say about this wedding?!  Sometimes you have a day where everything goes just perfectly - and that was very much how it was for Craig and Sarah's big day.  The flowers were beautiful, the wedding car (well, campervan!) was just awesome, the bride was stunning, the groom handsome and all of the guests were full of smiles and laughter.  And, for what started as a grey and rainy day, broke to glorious sunshine when it mattered.

Congratulations once again to you both - and thank you so much for asking me along to photograph your special day.  It really was fantastic!

Here is a slideshow of some of my favourite images of the day.  Please view in HD.  For client view, click.

'Good Day Sunshine...'

I had a truly wonderful day photographing the wedding of Mark and Joanna last Saturday.  The weather was beautiful and just perfect for an outdoor wedding at the gorgeous Castle Campbell in Dollar.  The wedding party then went on to enjoy a reception at The Dalmahoy - a perfect end to a magnificent day in which Mark and Joanna were able to show their love for one another in front of all of their friends and family.  Congratulations once again to a wonderful couple!

Mr & Mrs Power....

Congratulations to Kenneth and Emma on their wonderful wedding yesterday! It was a pleasure to share a part of their special day in Edinburgh.  There were plenty of smiles, laughter and fun to be had in a very misty and wet Auld Reeky!  Thanks again to Kenneth and Emma for asking me to be their wedding photographer and for braving the elements! A Beautiful Wedding at Barony Castle!

Congratulations again to Kathryn and Alan who tied the knot on Saturday at Barony Castle, Eddleston near Peebles! The bride wore a smashing 50's style dress that she designed and made herself!  They were a gorgeous couple to photograph and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
